The Life of a Sociable Affiliate

Welcome to my blog. I am a little late to the party I know. I am Robert Berrisford I work for CK Net Limited, a search affiliate.

Another Tit-Bit...

I graduated from Bournemouth University Media School in 2004 with an MA in Interactive Marketing and after a spot of traveling I joined dgm before moving onto CK Net 9 months later.

My Nominations For The A4U Awards

Didn’t these bad boys come round quickly? On the 5th of June Matt and his crew will be holding the second A4U awards, which is sure to be interesting.

I am sure you all know what these awards entail, you can vote for them here and buy tickets ect here

So in the sections we can nominate I have gone for:

Best Network

Affiliate Window: Now this one was difficult, I don’t actually know many people at Affiliate Window apart from Kevin Edwards and Julia Stent and of all the major networks they are the one we do the least with by some distance.

I judged this on the back of which is the best network for all affiliates. As a larger affiliate you tend to get good access to the client side account managers at the networks, plus have regular contact with you designated account manager on the publisher team at said network. This makes it difficult for me to judge the account management strength at the networks, because I am pretty sure not every affiliate has the mobile number of many network account managers.

I have gone for Affiliate Window based purely on the likes of Shop Window (good work Amo), and other innovations in the industry. They have always made a big deal about their moral high ground and have always delivered good incremental sales for the clients I have spoken to.

Publishers Choice of Account Manager

Chris Mockford: Mainly because I have known him for years, he used to sit next to me when he was an account exec at dgm and make tea. We do quite a bit of business with buy.at and the boy wonder has always looked after us well. Good lad, massive face, lives in south London, couldn’t really vote for anyone else.

Laura you were a close call, but i am not sure you are technically an account manager :)

Affiliate Manager Of 2008

Ennis Al-Saiegh: Another good friend of mine now, although we don’t always see eye to eye. Ennis does a great job over at Jessops on both sides of his affiliate role. I think as a client side account manager it is just as important to sell affiliate marketing and affiliates into the business as it is to help affiliates do their job, which Ennis does very well.

Special mentions go to Chris King from BT and Grant Reid from Stream 20.

Affiliate Marketing Blog Of 2008

This will be an interesting one, I fully expect Keiron to run away with it again, mainly because he does a sterling job and for that reason I won’t be voting for him (sorry fella)

I am not sure wither to go for Paul’s no holds bard approach or J Lil’s unintentionally hilarious diet blog. To be honest, if J Lil Updated more often than once a month he would probably run away with the top prize.
