It is April Fools day today which is a great excuse for Bloggers across the world to play a few tricks on their users. These April fools are great link bait if people fall for them, though I suspect very few people will.
I have put a list below of a few I have come across this year.
Shoemoney shows you how to make $1000 dollars an hour with this interesting video
John Chow launches his Cola Drink for Bloggers
Vinny Lingham went for pretty much the same joke as last year
Branson and the Google boys are all moving to Mars
I haven’t noticed any of the British Bloggers playing any games, but if anyone spots others please pop them in the comments.

The updates on this blog have been pathetic recently, I have been massively busy with a few things both in and out of work and for that I apologise.
I have a well deserved holiday booked in next week in New York, so if anyone would like to submit a guest post it would be great to cover the time while I am away.
I have also just booked 10 days in LA and Vegas for the Calzaghe fight, so will need plenty to cover then.
If you fancy submitting something please email me rob at ck - net dot com

After reading Kieron’s Blog about top 5 lists in blogging I thought I would wade in with a top 5 things I hate about blogs.
- Blogs that are never updated. Entertaining blogs that never get updated annoy me! The biggest blogs in the world are updated several times a day, if you are going to update once a month, don’t bother. Send me a letter.
- Bloggers that update their blogs 5 times a day with crap, why do I still read them? Most of the posts are from guest posters anyway, John, I am watching you, don’t let your great name slip!
- Top 5 lists that go nowhere and bloggers that try to fill their top 5 lists with only three valid points.
3a. Bloggers that actually fall for this link bait.
- Idiots that have a picture of them self with no shirt on in the middle of their header. Put some clothes on you arrogant (yet very good looking ) so and so.
- See point 3

I have been reading Zac Johnson’s for a while now and have seen him using Top Spots over the past few months so thought I would give it a crack.
It is a cool little widget that you can place on a blog and sell links. You can set your rate to what ever you want, Scratchback take a small cut and rest is yours. I went for a easy $10 to start with.
If anyone fancies a cheap ad spot on this blog, just click on the widget and go through to sign up, its a 2 minute job.
I don’t think this will made a big impact on affiliate marketing as a whole, but it is a cool way to buy and sell traffic.

This Blog has been live since the 20th of November 2007 and traffic has been slowly building since then.
It has always been the intention to monetize this blog in time, and well, there is no time like the present.
I have added some banners on the sidebar which I am going to start populating from the 1st of February, so if anyone is interested I have three spots that are not confirmed yet, so please drop me an email to discuss.
Also from today I will be integrating bidvertiser into the RSS feed, which is a pretty nifty bit of kit and a nice alternative to Adsense, all you have to do is sign up to the program and prove you are the media owner by adding a code into one of your posts.
Mine is: BDV-221784-BDV
Hopefully this won’t be too annoying on the site, I am going reinvest the money back into the blog for the time being and see how we get on with earnings.
If anyone has any advice it would be great to hear.
